The ‘Buy a Brick’ memorial wall in the Visitor Centre of Castlecomer Disocvery Park is fillled with the names of local people past and present who lived and worked around Castlecomer and the former Leinster Coalfield.
Proceeds from the sale of the bricks will go towards the upkeep and ongoing maintenance of the ‘Footprints in Coal’ exhibition to ensure that the memory of the miners of Castlecomer is preserved for future generations.
