April 17 - Walk and Discover Pottery
TIME: 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
LOCATION: The Woodlands and Castlecomer Estate Yard.
Start your morning by following a 2km approx. guidedwalk in the woodlands of the Castlecomer Demesne. Enjoy the beauty of nature unfolding before your eyes. Explore the landscape and discover a carpet of bluebells covering the woodland floor. Guaranteed to awaken your senses and shake you into the Spring! Return to the Estate Yard for a two hour taster workshop exploring the use of clay with Susan Boland (of Susan Boland Ceramics). Participants work is fired and glazed.
Meet at the Visitor Centre Reception on Tuesday 17th April 2012 at 10am. This is partly an outdoor event so please wear appropriate footwear and clothing for the walk. For the pottery workshop wear something you don’t mind getting dirty!
€30 per adult. Pre-booking is essential and minimum numbers apply.
