From tomorrow 8th October we will be entering Level 3 of the “Living with Covid Plan”, The Discovery park will remain open as a recreational resource for the people of Kilkenny. In order to operate in line with Government recommendations we have made a few adjustments to the way we operate. Please adhere to travel restrictions as per the phase 3 guidelines.
Please note that we will be reducing the number of activity options we have, the capacity per session and the number of sessions as follows:
Ireland’s Longest Zipline & Octagon High Ropes
For this phase 3 period we will only be offering the Zipline & Octagon High Ropes combination ticket. Single zip rides will not be available. However, this gives you the best opportunity to try one of Ireland’s best high ropes courses, pushing your personal boundaries to instil a sense of achievement and confidence!
There will only be 3 session times for the zip/octagon package per day:
11 -12.30pm
12.30 – 2pm
2pm – 3.30pm

Tree Top Walk
During this time we will not offer the Tree Top Walk & Climbing Wall combination, only Tree Top Walk Tickets will be available (reduced capacity also). The climbing wall will not be open. BOOK NOW
Archery

Canoes
Our Canoes are available to book online here. Please note that pedal boats will not be available (we have to let you in on a little secret, canoes are much better fun!) BOOK NOW

Canopy Café
The Canopy Café will be open for coffee and snacks.
We know it’s a difficult time for everyone, but we are requesting that you not travel from other Counties to the park. We are committed to supporting the roadmap as laid out by the Government and hopefully if we all pull together we can get back to level 2 as soon as possible.
The park is open for walkers as normal and we are proceeding with our Mid Term Break programme of events such as Bug Hunts and Monsters Inc Family Trail. Watch out for our free “Wolf Walkers” Trail too!
We have received our Failte Ireland Covid Standard Mark and are doing all that we can to protect our visitors. Once more we ask that you also help us by socially distancing at the park, sanitising / washing your hands and wearing your mask. Our staff will be wearing masks when harnessing or supporting you during your activity, we would like to request that you also wear your mask during these interactions.
We are lucky to have a wonderful outdoor amenity, now more than ever we need fresh air and exercise!
