Wolf Walkers Walking Trail at Castlecomer Discovery Park
Congratulations to Cartoon Saloon for their latest Oscar Nomination!
Here at the Discovery Park we have been inspired by this epic tale to create our very own “Be A Wolf” Trail around the park, before you celebrate 93rd Academy Awards why not come out and do our forest trail.
Our specially designed “Be a Wolf” trail was created as part of WolfWalkers month (October 2020). We are asking you to be a wolf as you navigate the park with learning stops along the way. You will get a “Be a Wolf Notebook” which you will use on your wolf journey.
Due to Covid 19 restrictions our visitor center is not open but you can download the trail and poster here below.
If you want to download the “Be A Wolf Notebook” to accompany the trail around the park, you can do so by clicking this link Wolfhunter Notebook Compressed
You can also download the A3 poster here Castlecomer WW Poster_wolf final
WOLFWALKERS follows Robyn Goodfellowe, a young apprentice hunter who journeys to Ireland with her father in a time of superstition and magic to wipe out the last wolf pack. While exploring the forbidden lands outside the city walls, Robyn befriends a free-spirited girl, Mebh, a member of a mysterious tribe rumored to have the ability to transform into wolves by night. As they search for Mebh’s missing mother, Robyn uncovers a secret that draws her further into the enchanted world of the “Wolfwalkers” and risks turning into the very thing her father is tasked to destroy.
The Apple Original film is directed by Tomm Moore and Ross Stewart and written by Will Collins (Song of the Sea). Paul Young, Nora Twomey, Tomm Moore and Stéphan Roelantsserve as producers.
