December Events at Castlecomer Discovery Park
December is shaping up to be a magical month here at Castlecomer Discovery Park! From festive crafts to tiny elf workshops, outdoor adventures, and even a drive-in cinema, there’s something for every family to enjoy as we count down to Christmas.
December 1st — Snow Much Fun! (Ages 3–8)
Times: 15:30–17:00 & 18:00–19:30
Kick off December with a burst of winter wonder! Children can enjoy snowy crafts and creativity to start the season in festive style.

December 5th — Frosty Fun Crafts (Ages 3–8)
Times: 15:30–17:00 & 18:00–19:30
A fun and frosty crafting session where little makers can create winter-themed masterpieces to take home.

December 6th & 7th — Our final weekend of outdoor activities
A perfect chance to enjoy the fresh winter air with family and friends.
December 9th — Tiny Elves’ Workshop (Ages 3–8)
Times: 15:30–17:00 & 18:00–19:30
Santa’s workshop comes to Castlecomer! Children will step into the role of tiny elves as they craft magical festive creations.

December 10th – Drive-In Cinema
Bringing the Christmas classics you love to the comfort of your car.
Elf | 6pm | €35 per car
The Grinch | 8:15pm | €35 per car
Stay warm and cosy throughout the night with treats available on-site. Feel free to bring your own snacks, blankets, and anything else to make your car extra comfy.
December 13th — Little Explorers: Craftmas Fun (Ages 2–5)
Times: 11:00–12:30 & 14:00–15:30
Designed with our youngest visitors in mind, this session offers gentle festive fun through creative crafts and sensory play.

Time: 16:30–18:00
A second chance that day for older preschoolers and early primary children to enjoy some hands-on Christmas crafting.

December 17th — Countdown to Christmas! (Ages 3–8)

As Christmas draws near, this workshop helps build excitement with festive crafts, games, and joyful creative activities.

December 19th — Little Explorers: Christmas Make, Shake & Celebrate (Ages 2–5)
Times: 15:00–16:30 & 17:30–19:00
A lively festive session blending crafts, music, movement, and seasonal fun perfect for toddlers and preschoolers.

Older children can join us for this upbeat session full of crafting, dancing, and merry-making.
