Castlecomer & Me! A creative competition to celebrate your place, Castlecomer
More than ever we are relying on our communities to support each other through these challenging times, never more than now do we need a strong community spirit.
We thought it was an opportune moment to celebrate Castlecomer, the place, the people, the history with a creative competition.
We are inviting children ages from 7 – 11 and 12 – 16 years old to participate by using their creativity to represent what Castlecomer means to them. You can do this through the following creative mediums:
- A short story
- A short video
- A visual art work, painting / collage
- Photography
- A Poem
You can use the town’s history, impressions, artefacts, daily life, inhabitants, are all themes that are suggested to inspire the creative efforts of all participants.
Once the Covid 19 crisis has abated we will hold an exhibition in the Discovery Park based on the entries received. What a super way to celebrate getting back to normality!
We will also have an online exhibition on our website www.discoverypark.ie and also on www.castlecomer.ie
There will be prizes also of Family passes for the first three winners in each age category.
