At Castlecomer Discovery Park we are immersed in nature every day. With over 80 acres of woodland and lakes, we understand the benefits of outdoor learning and how getting out of your comfort zone can inspire you to exceed perceived limits.

What we offer:

This is one of our most popular activities for breaking down barriers and getting teams communicating and learning about each other in a fun and energised way. It involves our trained and motivational instructors delivering a number of games specifically devised to to enhance communication, coordination and problem solving.

Boost team dynamics and build team spirit through this activity which promotes communication, planning, physical and strategic thinking.

The activity takes about 1 hour.  Price €12.50 per person (Min Group Size).

For many companies team building days out are about getting employees out of their normal environment, taking time to restore the batteries and getting staff to see things from a different perspective.

We highly recommend our Octagon High Ropes Challenge for those looking to get out of their comfort zone.  Set on an octagonal frame over two levels, our high ropes course presents a series of challenges in the form of nets, ropes, wooden bridges etc. Our instructors will devise games to encourage team dynamics.

We usually finish up with a trip down Ireland’s longest zip line. It is 300 metres long and 35 metres over the ground at its highest point. Visitors zip over our stunning woodland, two lakes and 17th Century hand-restored bridge.  Groups leave feeling exhilarated.

This activity takes approximate 2 – 2.5 hours. €27 per person.

You might remember the little version of these you created as a child; our catapults are larger versions worked by a lever and ropes for hurling large stones or other missiles. Once more you are given the basic materials and its your teams combined know how that will get you firing on all cylinders!   This activity really gets teams working together, problem solving, communicating and getting physically active.

This activity takes about 2 – 2.5 hours. €25 per person (min group size required)

It might sound a little dangerous but in a controlled environment and with our trained staff to guide you, you will have no problem with AXE throwing!  This activity is a great stress reliever as well as bringing out the competitive side of teams.

This activity lasts 30 minutes to an hour depending on group size.
