We’ve got something for everyone, with 6km of walking trails, 2 fishing lakes, our fascinating interactive coal mining exhibition. You can also relax and enjoy the award winning Jarrow Café, and stroll around the craft yard, meet the craft makers and find a novel gift.

Castlecomer Discovery Park scoops top award
Castlecomer Discovery Park was in celebratory mood last Friday 3rd March when they scooped the top prize at the RDS Irish Forestry Awards under the Community Woodland category.
This award is designed to encourage and reward projects involving community woodlands which have been established and managed in a way which is sustainable and beneficial to the landscape, local people, biodiversity & economy.
On taking first prize Michael Brooke, Chairman of Castlecomer Discovery Park commented “We are thrilled to receive this award. I am particularly delighted for our team who work so hard to keep the woodland to such a high standard, employing the principles of Climate-Smart Agriculture which encourage environmental protection and encouragement of bio-diversity.”
